    Doctoral Regalia Set

    Description
    All our ceremonial gowns meet the Princeton specifications registered with the Intercollegiate Bureau of Academic Costume. The body of the gown is made of the highest quality black crepe. The sleeve chevrons and front panels are made with plush orange velvet. Bell sleeves are used, in the doctoral gown tradition. A full-length zipper in the front and two side pockets are also included.

    The body of the hood is constructed black polyester crepe and plush, royal blue velvet, which denotes the Ph.D. The hood is lined with luminous satin in orange and black, signifying Princeton University colors.

    The eight-sided tam is made of our finest black plush velvet, which is recognized worldwide as the industry standard. A silk tassel is included with the tam. A luminous gold bullion tassel can be included for an additional $10.

    Arrived too late. Had to pay anyway

    I didn't wear it. It arrived too late for my ceremony.

    Dear Michael, Thanks for your review. I do apologize that the rental was not delivered on time. This order had a very slim timeline and we sent it out on the day it was ordered. Unfortunately, USPS was not able to deliver this on time. We extended your rental seven days free of charge which is a $49 value and refunded the shipping paid. We will work on finding more reliable shipping partners going forward. Hope to have you back as a customer.

    Excellent Quality Regalia, Excellent Customer Service

    I cannot recommend Capgown enough for their fantastic product, and even better customer service! After I accidentally ordered the wrong tam size, Capgown was happy and quick to send an additional tam to see which size fit best, and they allowed me to return the one that didn't fit (all within 2 weeks of graduation!). Furthermore, the regalia are of excellent quality (I would even say they are better quality than the official retailer that Princeton University goes through, and without a doubt Capgown offers the more affordable price). Furthermore, I was worried that it would be easy to distinguish the official robes from the Capgown robes, and that I would stand out. Turns out: 1) They are basically indistinguishable. 2) A large portion (maybe even a majority) of my graduate peers turned out to be wearing Capgown regalia anyway! So I didn't stand out at all. Overall, I would definitely recommend Capgown to future grads out there!
