Doctoral Regalia Set
Description
All our gowns meet the UC specifications registered with the Intercollegiate Bureau of Academic Costume. The body of the gown is made of the highest quality blue crepe. The sleeve chevrons and front panels are made with elegant and classic royal blue velvet and finished with gold piping. Bell sleeves are used, in the doctoral gown tradition. A full-length zipper in the front and two side pockets are also included.
The body of the hood is constructed of blue crepe. Choice of velvet trim depending on your degree is available. Royal blue velvet, which denotes the Ph.D. or kelly green velvet, which denotes the M.D. The hood is lined with luminous satin in blue and gold, signifying the University of California’s colors. The entire hood is finished with gold satin trim.
The 8-sided tam is made of our finest royal blue plush velvet, which is recognized worldwide as the industry standard. A silk tassel is included with the tam. A gold bullion tassel can be included for an additional $20.
All University of California graduates wear the same officially designed UC regalia.

I've worn these University of California doctoral regalia to 5 events now in 3 academic years, and I'm happy that I decided to buy from you. The outfit looks good, fits well, and has a large outside pocket on each side -- handy for carrying a water bottle or a small umbrella. An inside-front button and a string built into the hood can hold the front of the hood down away from one's neck, if desired for comfort.

The doctoral regalia sizing is true to fit, looks identical to the one sold through the campus bookstore, and its price is very affordable at a 1/3 of the cost of the the campus bookstore. Farbod was very helpful when I called asking for help with sizing.
